April 8, 2011 - CT Green Jobs Partnership and the Jobs Funnel Prepares "Green Welders"- Eleven individuals completed a green construction welding certificate program and are now in demand by employers. Three of the the program completers have already been hired!

The program was delivered by Capital Workforce Partners, Jobs Funnel and Ironworkers Local 15, and it was supported by the Connecticut Green Jobs Partnership and Connecticut Regional Green Jobs Advisory Committee (PDF).

The Connecticut Green Jobs Partnership was launched in 2010 to develop a workforce prepared for careers in energy efficiency and renewable energy industries. The Regional Green Jobs Advisory Committee is comprised from Connecticut's five regional Workforce Investment Boards.
