October 13, 2010 – A “breather” for our summer program service providers.

Hartford Mayor Pedro E. Segarra joined Capital Workforce Partners at Union Station’s Great Hall to salute the dedicated service providers across North Central CT who ran the 2010 Summer Youth Employment Program, providing opportunities for nearly 2,800 youths.  The Mayor thanked each organization, and CWP’s Tom Phillips observed challenges these community leaders had overcome and the uphill advocacy battle we face next year.  Mayor Segarra asked us to join him in aiming high for Hartford in 2011 hoping to double Hartford student participation next summer!
