careers in the construction, customer service and hospitality fields. The Hartford Jobs Funnel is a coordinated
system of outreach / recruitment, assessment, case management, pre-employment preparation, job training and
retention services for city residents seeking employment.
Construction Jobs: There are several training components conducted by Co-Opportunity / YouthBuild
Hartford, Connecticut Light & Power and the Permanent Commission on the Status of Women /
Non-traditional Employment for Women Program.
Customer Service / Hospitality: Many opportunities have been created as a result of the new
development projects in Hartford such as the Connecticut Convention Center, Marriott Hotel and Hartford 21.
