The goal of Encore! Hartford is to prepare bridging corporate professionals
for employment in the Connecticut nonprofit sector.

Encore!Hartford is a 16-week intensive workforce development program is targeted to seasoned Connecticut corporate and public-service professionals seeking to transition their expertise to professional and managerial employment in the nonprofit sector. Twenty Encore Fellows will be vetted and chosen through a competitive selection process based on their skill sets and potential for success in the nonprofit sector. Encore!Hartford is the pilot of the larger Encore!Connecticut initiative.
Encore!Hartford is designed by the University of Connecticut Nonprofit Leadership Program and Leadership Greater Hartford, with review and approval of admission standards, curriculum and assessment criteria by the Connecticut Association of Nonprofits, Capital Workforce Partners and CTWorks. Additional support is provided by the Nonprofit Professionals Advisory Group, an international executive placement and transition leadership firm specializing in the nonprofit sector. Guest lecturers for each class to be announced.
We are now accepting applications for the first class of Encore!Hartford through January 31, 2010. Encore!Hartford runs March 2 - June 17, 2010.
