Hartford residents ages 18 and above, have the opportunity to learn valuable skills in an effort to attain careers in the construction, customer service and hospitality fields.  The Hartford Jobs Funnel is a coordinated system of services for city residents seeking employment.  The services provided include:  outreach / recruitment, assessment, case management, pre-employment preparation, job training and retention.

Construction Jobs:  There are several training components conducted by Co-Opportunity / YouthBuild Hartford, Connecticut Light & Power and the Permanent Commission on the Status of Women / Non-traditional Employment for Women Program.

Customer Service / Hospitality:  Many opportunities have been created as a result of the new development projects in Hartford such as the Connecticut Convention Center, Marriott Hotel and Hartford 21.
